Alina Nicole Shats 

Alina Shats was born on Staten Island in 2004.  Ever since birth, Alina has enjoyed the spotlight whether portraying Cyndi Lauper in her elementary school version of “We Are The World” or playing the role of the Mother in her Middle School production of “Beanstalk, The Musical”.  Alina made her Off-Broadway debut in the cast of the Beauty and the Beast Jr. in May of 2016.

            In addition to her Voice and Acting teacher, Jean Marie Calendrillo of J2 Entertainment Group, Alina has been taking acting classes and workshops with Mitchell Gossett, Barry Shapiro, and Jen Rudin. She also had acting and modeling training with Marsha Doll and Voice-Over classes with Lauren “Coco” Cohn.

            Alina loves to perform and is able to find an equal balance between her acting, singing, voiceover, piano, and dance lessons.  On top of that she enjoys learning about fashion and includes the art of make-up as one of her hobbies.  Aside from her acting, singing, dancing, and piano performances Alina plays on her school’s basketball and soccer teams, she enjoys figure skating, and has also tried her hand in horse riding lessons.

            She is able to establish a very close relationship with all of her teachers as she believes this is the most important profession and respects all the hard work and dedication that comes with being one.  She often finds herself helping others to understand a certain school topic, a script, or giving advice on clothing and make-up. 

She has a unique sense of humor and has a great ability to not hold any grudges.

            Alina’s family came from the Soviet Union back in 1988, thus she can speak and understand the Russian language. Above all, Alina has a unique level of creativity and unparalleled imagination which allows her to come up with ideas that shape her into a great, caring individual that she is.
